How do I request a comparable garlic size quotation?
State the bulb diameter range in millimetres, the measurement method, permitted size variation and quality requirements separately. Ask each supplier to use the same units and packing basis. A size label on its own does not confirm the quality, condition or net weight of the offered lot.

How garlic size and grade work
UNECE FFV-18 measures bulb size by the maximum diameter of its equatorial section. In its 2023 edition, the minimum is 45 mm for Extra Class and 30 mm for Classes I and II. These are reference-standard thresholds, not our available size range.
A size description should also state the permitted range within the package and the tolerance. Diameter alone does not establish the quality class.
