What should an apple packing quotation specify?
Specify the apple variety and size range, fruit count per carton, net fruit weight, tray layout and outer carton dimensions together. Two cartons with the same fruit count can describe different packs. Approve the proposed packed sample against your written requirements before confirming the order.

Size, count & weight
UNECE FFV-50 provides size provisions for apples using diameter or weight. A carton count is a packing description; record the intended fruit size and net carton weight separately rather than treating count as a complete quality specification.
- Confirm variety, fruit size or weight band, and count per carton.
- Describe trays, layers and other protection in the packing brief.
- Request case dimensions and a packed sample image for approval.

Include the fruit size, net weight and tray layout as well. Review these together so quotations describe comparable packs.
Can I request a different carton or tray layout?
Send the layout, target net weight and reference photo for review. Feasibility, minimum quantity and preparation time are confirmed in the quotation.
What photos should I request before dispatch?
Ask for the selected fruit, an open packed carton, its label and the proposed pallet arrangement. Agree how those images relate to the supplied lot.
